With over 25 years experience working on diverse ventures across the construction industry, James Winter brings to Abeco knowledge from a wide range of projects including notable hospitality, big-box and boutique retail, residential, and commercial projects.
James’ many years as a Senior Field Construction Manager provided him with expertise in all aspects of construction including excavation, foundations, and structural steel. This, along with his deep understanding of all phases of interior construction, has given him an edge in creating client relationships and providing unsurpassed results.
A pioneer of environmentally friendly construction, James is a Certified Green Builder. Additionally, Mr. Winter holds certifications in Site Safety, Project Monitoring and Asbestos/Lead Removal.
James is a seasoned professional, who has played an integral role in numerous noteworthy projects for the MTA, TBTA, Con Edison, Kemron Environmental, SCA, LIRR, and the NYCTA.
All of this experience, plus his work on multi-unit condominiums and luxury homes in both New York and the Hamptons, brings the quality of Abeco’s residential and commercial projects to the next level.
Beginning his career as a real estate salesman just two days after completing high school, Abe Betesh focused on marketing and selling income producing properties around New York. In 1988, The New York Times chronicled his quick rise to success, in an article that praised him as a “teen prodigy.”
Abe spent the ensuing years as CEO of the ABECO Organization, building it into a full service real estate investment, development and management company. Through persistence and a commitment to excellence Abe has been able to reposition properties creatively to add sustainable equity to each and every project while generating strong returns for him and his investment partners.
In the past decade Abe launched Abeco Construction, a full service, licensed, and insured construction company to fully serve his clients’ and investors’ development needs.
Abe attributes his success to leading his company in following the principles of honesty, client loyalty, attention to detail, community-based values and hard work. Abe is a dedicated member of the Sephardic community and is involved in many charitable organizations.
Nathan Azizo is a real estate professional and principal team-member at Abeco, with over 10 years of real estate experience, a Bachelors Degree in Real Estate and Metropolitan Development from Baruch College and assorted postgraduate studies at New York University’s Shack Institute of Real Estate.
Nathan’s real estate career began in brokerage of retail property, where he quickly became a leading leasing broker, focusing on retail and tenant representation in New York City and the outer boroughs. Nathan was listed on the CoStar “Power Broker” list of top retail leasing brokers in both 2007 and 2009.
Here at Abeco, Nathan’s responsibilities include oversight/leadership in marketing, business development, operations, professional services, financial performance, scheduling, and estimating. Using his skills in internal management and external leadership, he is constantly working to improve visibility in support of the growth goals for the firm. While managing the organization’s overall activity, Nathan fosters an environment of accountability, excellence, collaboration and innovation among the staff, while constantly demonstrating fiscal responsibility.
Nathan is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC)
